OSCARS - 85th Academy Awards - My Picks

Only a couple of days to go and so it is time to put down my picks for the winners.
There is only one Best Picture nominee that I have not seen ("Beasts of the Southern Wild") which is disappointing but I'll make do.
It should be noted that these are the movies and people that I think will win rather than those that I think should win.
Sometimes they cross over which is of course the ideal situation.
*cough*Argo*cough*
There are some that I will not shift on and even though it is my suspicion that "Brave" will take out the Best Animated Feature category I cannot bring myself to pick it as I was so underwhelmed by it. "Wreck-it-Ralph" therefore gets my vote because I desperately want it to win and would rather back it even if it loses.
In terms of the easy to pick ones it doesn't get any more money in the bank than Daniel Day-Lewis for "Lincoln" as far as I am concerned.
I don't see the most nominated movie taking too many out as common sense will prevail and "Argo" should pick up the majors.
"Zero Dark Thirty" looks good for a few - not nearly as many as it deserves but the politics around this one have doomed it.
The left thinks it supports torture - the right thinks it casts doubt over America's actions.
The sensible see that as a sign it did something very right.
Sense isn't a huge feature this year otherwise Ben Affleck would have been nominated for Best Director but I am learning to make my peace with that.
On a similar note- no nomination for Nash Edgerton's excellent short film "Bear"?
Damn.
